Breaking and entering

Kenyan Devonte Mason, 16, of Townbranch Road, and Ricky Devon Davis, Jr., 17, of S. Melville Street, Graham, were charged Friday by the Burlington Police Department with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. According to warrants, Mason and Davis broke into a house on Lakeside Avenue, and stole $400 in assorted jewelry. Mason was also charged with possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed weapon (brass knuckles). Bond was set at $7,500 for Mason and $5,000 for Davis.
DWI
The following have been charged with driving while impaired. A registration of .08 or higher on the Intoxilyzer results in an automatic 30-day revocation of a driver's license.
James Larry Taylor, Jr., 45, of Rumley Road, Graham, was charged Friday at 7:30 p.m. by Burlington police and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol on Rumley Road. He refused to take an Intoxilyzer test and was also charged with driving left of center. Bond was set at $1,500.
Rafael Vela Gonzales, 21, of Apple Street, Burlington, was stopped by Burlington police and charged with driving while impaired and driving without a license. Police stopped him at 12:43 a.m. Saturday on Ireland Street at North Mebane Street. He registered .09. Bond was set at $200.
False pretense
Burlington police charged Bobbie G. Mebane, 41, of North Fisher Street, Burlington, with false pretense and misdemeanor larceny. Police say she stole a SunTrust Bank check from Roger E. Foust, valued at 5 cents, and attempted to cash the check with a forged signature. Bond was set at $1,000.
Drug charges
Johnathan Chandler Beam, 18, of Swepsonville Road, Graham, and Meredith Whitney Lawson, 18, of Vaughn Road, Burlington, were charged with felony possession of 388 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (baggies), maintaining a vehicle for the distribution of illegal substances (a red Volkswagen) and possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana. Beam was also charged with spinning the tires on the vehicle and displaying a false, canceled or altered driver's license.
Lawson's bond was set at $7,500. Beam's was set at $10,000.
